Why Should Stainless Heat Exchangers Be Used?

Stainless heat exchangers are used in industries that require hygienic applications such as food, to get healthy results and to prevent bacteria formation. Pasteurization, milk cooling, vegetable oil heating, cooling etc. in the food industry from stainless plate heat exchangers. used in the processes.

The production of stainless plate heat exchangers only from stainless material is not sufficient for an ideal process. There is also a need for technologies that will prevent the processed food from adhering to the surface.

In addition to being the only domestic manufacturer of plate heat exchangers, we also carry out R&D studies in the production of stainless plate heat exchangers that put human health first. As a result of these studies, we are constantly updating our technology.

Stainless Plate Technology for the Food Industry

Even if the plates used in food processing are stainless, microorganisms can cling to these heat exchangers and their equipment and form a layer called biofilm. This biofilm increases friction in equipment with mixing function and reduces the heat transfer efficiency of the surface it covers. These resident microorganism residues can also cause corrosion in the machine. All this reduces machine life and increases maintenance costs.

Two methods are used for stabilization against bacterial adhesion on heat exchanger surfaces. The first of these is to increase the surface hydrophilicity and accordingly, to form structures that will create steric hindrance on the surface. Polyethylene glycol methacrylate is one of the monomers, hydroxyethyl methacrylate is used to increase the surface hydrofilter by creating steric hindrance on the surface.

The second technique is the low temperature, low pressure plasma polymerization technique. With this technique, the stainless steel heat exchanger surfaces are modified with the determined monomers, increasing the hydrophilicity of the heat exchanger surfaces used in food processes and reducing the adhesion rates of microorganisms.
