Parts of Plate Heat Exchanger

Plate heat exchangers, which are one of the most efficient systems in the field of heat transfer, basically consist of the body, heat transfer plates, transport shafts and connection apparatus.

Plate Heat Exchangers generally have the following parts from front to back.

  • Front body with input-output connections and heat exchanger information
  • Upper and lower transport shafts used to fix the heat exchanger plates
  • The first plate that prevents the fluids from contacting the front body
  • Exchanger flow plates that allow the passage of fluids and provide heat transfer
  • End plate that prevents the fluids from contacting the rear body
  • Rear body with assembly and maintenance instructions and movable on shafts
  • Studs and washers that ensure that the plates are held at a certain clamping size

The Plate Heat Exchanger Label on the front body of the plate heat exchangers we produce under the MIT brand contains the following information.

  • Model information of the heat exchanger
  • Plate Number of Heat Exchanger
  • Production Number of the Heat Exchanger
  • Capacity Information of the Heat Exchanger
  • Test and Usage Temperature of the Heat Exchanger
  • Test and Usage Pressures of the Heat Exchanger
  • Minimum Clamping Dimension of the Heat Exchanger
  • Ekin Industrial contact information
