The compact structure of MIT lobe pumps allows maintenance in the field. This advantage reduces both maintenance times and costs.
Things to do during the maintenance process are as follows.
- Before maintenance of the pump, the electrical connections must be disconnected from the pump motor. After this process, pump maintenance and repair can be done.
- The maintenance and replacement of the lobes can only be done by removing the front cover bolts without removing the pump and line connections and the coupling connections between the motor and the pump.
- In this section, the lobes can be easily removed and cleaned and maintained.
- To replace the packing, the front casing must be disassembled. The disassembly process of the body is also quite simple.
- The oil reservoir in the gear part is changed at periodic intervals by opening the oil drain plug. In this way, the gears will have a longer life.
- After the necessary cleaning is done, all parts are reassembled on the body as they were disassembled and the pump is put into use again.
- When commissioning the pump, electrical connections should be made according to the rotation direction of the motor.
