Pneumatic Actuator

Pneumatic Actuator

Pneumatic Actuators are actuators operated by compressed air. Pneumatic actuators are preferred in most applications due to their lightweight and durable construction. The advantages are that they are cost-effective and reliable, can be used in explosive atmospheres, and can be used as a fail-safe actuator.

Single-acting pneumatic actuator is produced as a model that opens/closes with spring force. In this way, the actuator is in the open or closed position as long as it is not operated. When these actuators are operated, they are closed if they are open and open if they are closed. It is the spring inside that allows it to return to its original state.

Since pneumatic actuators work with a compressor, the installation cost is slightly higher, but the operating cost is low as they use air as raw material. They are noisier than electric actuators.
